Joy

Pope Francis is all about the "joy" in life. I may have mentioned, we're not happy-clappy around here and yet, we certainly would call our lives full-of-joy. Here are a few recent occurances.

Spreading joy to others...

Yesterday was the much-awaited Slovak Heritage Festival. The kids danced with their troupe, one of three that performed. It was wonderful, as always, to watch the kids enjoying themselves and equally wonderful to watch the spectators. The elderly, especially, are touched to see what they did as a child being carried on to the next and future generations.

They are a great, centered bunch of kids. So lucky to be part of it.

Natural joy...

What amazing weather we've been having lately. We enjoyed it today with a long neighborhood walk, followed by leaf raking. Of course, the latter only happened after the ceremonial jumping had finished (#1 was online with Latin...she had fun before I brought the camera out).

I am grateful that, even with many fewer leaves in a tiny yard, the joy remains.

Happy All Souls Day. Take 15 minutes to say a rosary for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, will you? While you're at it, make it a daily event. The exercise will reward your family in so many ways.

We are blessed.
