Thankful...Part Two

I'm looking at some simple things today and being thankful.

Grammy

My mom moved closer to us when I was pregnant with #3. It's hard to underestimate the value of having a grandmother close by to do grandmotherly things (bake, eat, bake, playdough!). Lately she's been having a weekly date with #3 while I work on school with the others. It is lovely to see these two slow-moving-notice-everything people hanging out.

Back from taking out the trash!

God's Majesty

While we were heading to the car for our next errand/pickup/whatever I happened to look down and see this.

A few days ago, the kids were drawing chalk flags on the stone walkway in the back yard. Sometime after that but before the heavy rain, a leaf fell onto one of the flags. The leaf kept the chalk from washing away and left its imprint. We had a long discussion about God being the greatest artist ever and all the wonderful things He has made, including them :0) How important it is to for us to remember that God's Majesty is all around us, every day...even in the most minute details!

Let's give thanks today for all of our blessings; old and young, big and small, and remember the One from whom all blessings flow. God is so good, all the time.

We are blessed.
