Please Pray

I was working on a long, important blog but then it became more about me and less about what was important. So, let me just ask straight...

Please pray for my dear friend and her family. Her youngest brother (he was in his early 20's) fell from a ladder yesterday and suffered severe head trauma. He died this morning.

I beg prayers because I know what it's like to lose someone at this time of year but mostly because I have no idea what it's like for a mother to lose her child.

for if he were not expecting the fallen to rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. But if he did this with a view to the splendid reward that awaits those who had gone to rest in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought.
