We were on a pilgrimage to DC this weekend with the rest of the diocese. Not taking the bus and going a day early meant we were able to take a side (read...non-religious stuff) trip to the National Zoo. It's free to get in which was good because the cost of parking plus lunch totaled half our room at the hotel. Yikes.
Still, it was fun to explore a new place. The elephants and pandas were some of the favorites.
