Lenten Journey, Part One (the teaser)

Hello fair readers. I know you've been waiting for it and, trust me, I've been waiting to write all about it but, alas, the great Southwest Pilgrimage 2018 will have to wait another day or two. We made it to First Friday Mass, an unexpected funeral Mass, and Stations so there is still much schoolwork to be done!

In the meantime, I'll give you a few pictures to ponder and you can quiz yourself to see whether or not you know what's coming (hint...the places were great but the people? amazing!) Oh, and extra credit if you know the Saint after whom San Diego was named...it's not who you think!

Wherever you are, I hope you find God's love in your day. If you're a little sad because you're fasting instead of feasting, go do something for someone else...guaranteed it will change your attitude!

We are at the Shrine of St. Bernadette in Albuquerque, NM today handing out the small bits of love we packed to bring along to pass on to others. Even if we have no good stories to share afterward, I'm grateful that we can distribute God's love, even in some small way, on this first day in the desert.
