France...in the 'burgh

I once had the greatest French Toast ever...in Paris, in 1987. It was made with brioche and YUM!!! It was superb.

Fast forward to today. I am scrambling for what to have for dinner and stumble upon 2/3 of a loaf of Paska left from Sunday. Light bulb!

Of course this light, airy, golden-raisin-filled scrumptiousness will soak up the egg mixture and transform it all into the same delectable dinner as that Parisian evening so long ago.

These did not disappoint. The kids even ate them with minimal syrup - a major victory!

I washed it all down with my new favorite beverage.

Ahhh...the Easter blessings just go on and on ;0)

My musical girl...

It was October of 2011 when she moved on from being a "Pre-Twinkler" (i.e. you can play "twinkle, twinkle, little star")

Now, suddenly, she is graduating from Book One. I am so proud of my little one. She certainly loves music like her mama.

Today was her rehearsal...held in front of some of her biggest fans/critics. Sunday is the big day ;0)
